In an experience that Kate proclaims as "simply Heaven-sent", Kate left her career in environmental consulting after 16 years and bought K-9 Body Shop after one phone call.  The previous owners were praying for years that they would be able to retire and were amazed they could do just that without the hassle of having to list the business.

Kate did extensive updating to the shop and expanded hours to meet the demands of the public. She knew that she wanted to positively impact more dogs, and to do that she needed to grow. She began hiring new staff members diligently and began advertising her new availability. She expanded her services to include Fear Free Grooming (for more info, look at the services tab), and has continued to add new clientele.
